Rooftrim Systems

Introductions

Fascia, Bargeboard, Soffits and Trims

Rooftrim SystemsThe Permacell range of Rooftrim Profiles provide a totally integrated Maintenance-Free solution that will enhance and improve the appearance of most types of buildings.

Tough and durable Permacell is manufactured from Cellular PVC-UE in a selection of sizes, in square and bull-nose profiles in white, bright white with a complementary range of trims and ventilation options.

For additional strength and ridgidity, the Titan and Leda systems combine versatility with low maintenance and ease of use. The deep-nose profile of Titan matches the look of traditional timber and alleviates the need for extra support between rafters.

Soffits

SoffitsOnce the fascia board is installed, one long edge of the soffit board cladding or soffit ventilator is fitted into the groove cut into the rear of the fascia board or placed on the extended lip of the cover board and secured to rafter feet. On Titan and Leda board applications allow an extra 10mm on the width for the board to sit securely into the groove.

Titan Board has a stepped groove which accepts 8mm and 10mm soffit boards. Boards should always be supported along their length and fitted with 2 x 40mm plastic-headed nails at 600mm centre to timber eaves hangers or noggins for level soffit.

For an inclined soffit, fixing is to the underside of the rafters. Soffits should always be supported along their length at fascia wall and board junctions and fixed at 600mm cebtres with 2 x 40mm plastic-headed nails.

Widths should not exceed 200mm unsupported. For extra widths soffit boards can be jointed using a longitudinal coupling trim leaving a 5mm expansion gap for thermal movement. When using cladding planks as soffits, running joints should be made with open V joints and staggered.

It is recommended that runs be broken up with a centre joint trim.
